One platform, with no tool change between the recording and the release.

Multitrack audio editor with mixer and effects

Remote multitrack recording

Each speaker is recorded on a separate track at 48 kHz. A copy stays on the local machine during the session, and realignment between tracks is automatic.

Automatic cleanup and level

Denoising and reverb removal, then loudness set to -16 LUFS, the level Apple Podcasts recommends. The processing applies with no prior setup, and switches off for a mastering done by hand.

Transcription and chapters

Automatic transcription in more than 30 languages. Chapters and show notes are generated, then stay editable before publication.

Show page with episodes and soundboard

RSS distribution

Publication to Spotify, Apple Podcasts and the other platforms through an RSS feed. The release date is set in the time zone of the show, with a preview before sending.

Live show and green room

A browser link brings a guest in, with no install and no account. The mic check happens in the green room, before going on air, with chat and soundboard for jingles.

Eleven effects per track

Equalizer, compressor, de-esser, noise gate, reverb, echo, limiter and the rest, each with its visual editor, computed in the browser. A master bus applies to the whole mix, from the free plan onwards.

From capture to release

  1. Capture and live show

The show is set up once, then a browser link brings the guests in, with no install and no account. Everyone tests a mic in the green room before going on air. Each speaker is recorded on a separate track, with a local copy.

  2. Editing, cleanup, effects

Denoising and dereverberation pass over every track, then loudness is set to -16 LUFS, the level Apple Podcasts recommends. Eleven effects per track and a master bus stay open to finish the mix. The transcript supplies the chapters and the show notes.

  3. Release

The RSS feed goes out to Spotify, Apple Podcasts and the other platforms. The release date is set in the time zone of the show, with a preview before sending.

Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing before starting.

Can a show move over from Riverside or Descript?
Yes, by hand. The show is recreated in a few minutes, and episodes are imported one by one as audio files. Importing an existing RSS feed is not available yet.
Is the free plan limited in time?
No. The Free plan is permanent, with no credit card. Its quotas for shows, episodes, storage, renders and AI credits appear on the pricing page.
Where is the data hosted?
Servers and storage sit in Europe. Two subprocessors are in the United States, both certified under the Data Privacy Framework: Deepgram for transcription, only on explicit action, and PostHog for audience and usage analytics. The full list of subprocessors appears in the privacy policy.
How does cancelling a subscription work?
Cancellation happens from the settings, at any time. Access stays open until the end of the paid period, then the account returns to the Free plan. Files remain exportable.
Do guests need an account?
No. A guest joins the session through a browser link, with no install, no account and no credit card. The mic check happens in the green room, before going on air.
How many participants can record at the same time?
2 on Free, 4 on Creator, 8 on Pro, 8 on Studio. Each participant is recorded on a separate track at 48 kHz, with a local copy.
Can an existing RSS feed be imported?
Not available yet. Podkstr today generates a native RSS feed, compatible with Apple Podcasts, Spotify and the common aggregators.
Which languages does transcription cover?
More than 30 languages, among them French, English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Korean.
