Remote interview
Preparation, invitation, conversation and edit in one studio: the guest joins through a link, and each voice comes back on its own track.

A conversation on two sides
A remote interview plays out on ground the host does not control: the guest's machine, the guest's room, the guest's connection. The work consists in reducing that uncertainty before, during and after the conversation, without asking the guest for anything technical.
Preparation
The questions, the order of the segments and the points not to forget are written beforehand, in the notes of the episode page. The same notes come back in a panel next to the participants during the recording, and again at the edit.
The invitation
An invite link is generated from the studio, shared as is or sent by e-mail directly from Podkstr. The guest opens it, allows the microphone, enters a name and arrives in the waiting room. There is no account to create and no app to install, and the guest page also opens on a phone.
Sound check before going on air
In the waiting room, the guest's level meter flags a microphone that is silent, too low or clipping, and the host sees who has marked themselves ready. A real-time noise filter, on by default, turns off with one click. Thirty seconds that avoid finding out at the edit that a speaker was talking into the laptop's built-in microphone.
The conversation
The host follows the notes during the recording. An internal chat carries cues and timing without appearing in the file. A connection that drops does not damage the guest's voice: a second copy is written on the guest's own machine during the session, and the live studio page describes how it reaches the server.
One track per voice
After the session, each voice arrives on its own track in the editor, at the quality captured on the speaker's side. A cough from the guest is cut without touching the host, a voice that is too quiet is raised on its own, and loudness is set once, at export.
Current gaps
On a browser that does not support local recording, only the copy received by the server is kept. The host studio needs a computer. The number of speakers and the length of a session depend on the plan.
