Episode preparation in Podkstr: details and preparation notes

Short-lived expertise

A coach or a trainer explains the same ideas every week, in sessions, live on a social network or in an e-mail. The live stream drops out of the feed within a few days, and the rest depends on what an algorithm decides. A podcast keeps those explanations available and can be found by search on listening platforms, provided it sounds good enough for the argument to be heard to the end.

Guests without preparation

An invite link, shared as is or sent by e-mail from the studio, is enough to record with a client, a colleague or an expert. The guest opens the link, checks the microphone on a level meter, enters a name and joins the session. The guest installs nothing and creates no account, and the guest page also opens on a phone.

The guest's file is recorded on the guest's own machine in addition to the copy the server receives. Their connection therefore does not decide the quality recovered.

Sound that matches

Many expert podcasts lose their listener on sound: the content is solid, the voice hisses or rings, and the ear judges before the reasoning.

Each track has eleven effects, each with a visual editor and presets: EQ curve, compressor, de-esser for sibilance, noise gate for silences. A room that rings is treated with an echo cleanup that keeps the original alongside. At export, the level is measured and brought to -16 LUFS, the level Apple Podcasts recommends, and a limiter holds back the peaks.

A show under its own name

The show carries its cover, description, author, language and category. Its RSS feed, hosted by Podkstr, is submitted once to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Deezer or Amazon Music, with the steps for each; later episodes arrive on their own. An episode is published right away or on a chosen date, and an embeddable player puts it on a personal website.

Depending on the plan, AI post-production adds a transcript, chapters and show notes. Transcript and chapters go into the feed.

A session can also be broadcast live while it is recorded, on a public listening page with its own chat.

Effect on the practice

An explanation recorded once stays available, is shared with a link and supports a coaching or training programme. The time once spent on technical support before each interview goes away.

Current gaps

Listening statistics are not available yet. The feed cannot be served under a custom domain. The host studio needs a computer.
